The tickets will be categorized into zone A and zone B. In case of mandatory capacity limit or socially distanced seating, zone A will be admitted and seated by the marks on site; zone B will be fully refunded.

All the venues will practice disease-prevention measures in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. The measures may be adjusted in compliance with the latest instructions by the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).

  • Please wear a mask throughout the screening.
  • There will be forehead temperature checks at the entrance. Anyone with a temperature of 37.5 degrees or above will be denied entry.
  • The festival implements the contact-information-based measures required by the CECC. We will therefore collect the contact info of the ticket buyers. The contact info will be used exclusively for epidemic investigation. In case of obligatory epidemic investigation, the registered buyer is obligated to notify the actual attendee(s), should there be any ticket transfers or resales.

2021 Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival

Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival (TGHFF) is the largest and longest-running film festival in Taiwan. The 2021 edition will be held in Taipei from November 11th to November 28th, with 172 films totaling 445 screenings, expected to draw over 80,000 attendances.
 
The festival opens with Terrorizers, the latest directorial collaboration of Golden Horse Awards Best New Director winner HO Wi-ding and HU Chih-hsin. The closing film Keep on Walking: The Man and His Higher Course is a documentary helmed by HO Ping about legendary Taiwanese director LEE Hsing.
 
The highly anticipated Golden Horse Awards received 573 submissions this year, and all the 42 nominated films will be screened at the festival, along with several latest Chinese-language productions which will have their world premieres here.
 
TGHFF serves not only as a prominent stage for Chinese-language films but also as a showcase for many international films. In addition to award-winning titles from Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Toronto, Rotterdam, Locarno and Sundance, the festival also introduces outstanding Asian films and collaborates with the NETPAC Award to encourage emerging Asian filmmakers. To meet the diverse needs of enthusiastic cinephiles, the festival also presents various carefully-curated sections such as "L.G.B.T.Q.+", "Wonderland", "Restored Classics" and "Film and Legend". This year, a special section "Viva La Cinema!" will warmly welcome the audience back to cinemas, together with three filmmakers in focus: late Japanese director SOMAI Shinji and two sought-after Israeli directors, Nadav LAPID and Eran KOLIRIN.
 
As the leading and most influential cinematic event in Taiwan, TGHFF never stops enhancing the positive impact of cinema. For instance, the Judicial Film Festival is a collaboration project with the Judicial Yuan that fosters social dialogue on justice issues; Golden Horse New Currents leads teenagers to explore the vast cinematic universe, and the Audio Description Project aims to offer a friendlier environment for the visually impaired. The fruitful results of Golden Horse Film Project Promotion and the finished works of Golden Horse Film Academy will also be presented at the festival.
 
The ever-galloping Golden Horse not only presents the greatest number of films in best quality, but will also continue the effort to break the existing frameworks and keep expanding the significance and spirit of film festivals.

  1. All tickets are sold on a first-come-first-served basis.
  2. Please carefully keep the tickets as they are the only proof of purchase for screening entrance and will not be reissued if lost or damaged.
  3. Children with the height of 100 cm or above must purchase a Student Ticket for entrance.
  4. Accessible seats availability is limited. Please make a reservation by phone in advance (02-2370-0456 ext 212.)
  5. To ensure screening quality, latecomer will NOT be admitted to the screening 20 minutes after the film begins, and the ticket is NON-REFUNDABLE.
  6. Please obey the rules for eating/drinking at the venue.
  7. Venues will be cleared after each screening. Please take care of your personal belongings.
  8. Safety first. Occupying the aisle or non-appointed seat is strictly prohibited.
  9. All rights of the films belong to the copyright owners. Photography or video/audio recording during the screening is strictly prohibited. The festival reserves the right to request for deletion of such illegal files.
  10. Film information listed in the program book is up-to-date at the time of publication. Any further changes (running time/rating, etc.) will be announced on the festival official website and at the venue. Running time does not include Q&A session before or after screening.
  11. Film ratings may change (after publication) subject to the classification by the Ministry of Culture. Audience members who fail the eligibility to the screening because of the rating change may request a full refund for tickets bought beforehand.
  12. All the staff follow the guidance of the festival committee to maintain smooth operation and ensure the best possible screening quality. The committee strictly prohibits any hostile conduct against the staff, and will take necessary measures against such misconduct accordingly.
  13. The festival reserves the right to change the program.

  2. Please register as Golden Horse member at festival’s official website before making the purchase.
  3. Please avoid operating the system with multiple windows or devices.
  4. Each online order must be confirmed within 10 minutes. Overdue orders will be dismissed and cancelled. Each order may contain a maximum of tickets.
  5. Tickets can be purchased online up to 2 hours before screening. Within 2 hours before the screening, ticket may only be purchased at the Ticket Booth on site.

Please complete the payment before the deadline shown in the "Order History". Overdue orders will be automatically cancelled by the system. (Transaction fee may apply. If you do not wish to pay via Bank transfer, please re-purchase the tickets with a new online order.)

     2) Bank Transfer – Taiwan Local Account
     Please complete the payment before the deadline shown in the "Order History". Overdue orders will be cancelled. Transaction fee may be charged for transfer other than Cathay United Bank (debit card/ATM). The system only accepts cards issued in Taiwan. Overseas remittance is not accepted.

Print out the tickets before screening at self-service kiosk, with your(1)QR code or (2) “Pickup Serial Number” and “Pickup No.”

  1. Ticket refund must be claimed at least 3 days before the scheduled screening.
    Example: ticket for screening on Nov 11 may be refunded no later than Nov 8.
  2. A 10% processing fee will be charged per refunded ticket.
  3. Tickets must be collected before refund.
  4. No ticket exchange. Please refund the ticket according to the rules above and re-purchase a new ticket.
  5. Tickets with a “Gift Redeemed” stamp are non-refundable.
